Make it Simple

Create Good ContentIf we look back in “history” we will see websites full of colors, colorful backgrounds, animations (flash) and almost no … white space … anywhere. Now? White space, clear templates, simplicity, almost no visuals, and elegance are being adopted more than ever before. Definitely I can’t tell you why, but I can tell you that this wasn’t an easy transaction and people didn’t respond fast to that change. A few years ago if a web designer had excessive white space on a page he would be considered as a “Not Good Designer” and “Bad News” for the company he was representing.

Everything changed when people started blogging. Simplicity, clear content, white space, were the main characteristics of all blogs. So the way we design our websites now isn’t something new, but it reminds us, in its own way, that we Have To Concentrate On The Important Things when we decide to make a new website or redesign our old one. What’s that?

Create Good Content!

Google and any other Search Engine will not rank us because of our …. colors and layout. They will rank us because of our content. The Good and Quality Content of our web page. The competition is high and sometimes exhausting, so we need to work hard!

Also, we need to make sure that we will make the life of our visitors (potential customers) easier. We may think that we are very clever since we manage to make  a few conversions, but we need to face the truth. Those visits become conversions for a reason. Good Content! It’s not that our visitors don’t want an exciting online experience, but we need to have in mind that they have a clear and realistic purpose. To buy. That’s why we need to Make It Simple and create the clearest available path possible for them to a buying decision.
